Welcome to GeoGuess

GeoGuess is a simple geography practice game: study a country outline, type the country name, and build stronger map memory one round at a time.

Game mode

The English version focuses on country outlines. Each round shows a random silhouette from the world dataset, and your goal is to identify it from shape cues such as coastlines, borders, peninsulas, islands, and lake shores.

How to play

  1. Look closely at the outline before typing.
  2. Enter a country name and choose the best match from the suggestions.
  3. Submit your guess.
  4. Use the distance hint after a wrong answer to adjust your mental map.
  5. Save skips for outlines you truly cannot place.

Why it helps

  • Visual recognition trains spatial memory.
  • Repeated guesses strengthen country-name recall.
  • Distance feedback turns mistakes into useful clues.
  • Short rounds make it easy to practice during small breaks.

Start a round, take your time with the outline, and let each miss teach you where the target sits on the map.
